Build Your Load

Tell us what consumes electricity.

Choose your property type above. For a home, the calculator shows common appliances. For commercial users, it switches to a business equipment load table.

Home appliances

Enter quantity, appliance wattage and average hours used per day. Tick “Backup” for appliances you want included in the backup-load calculation.

Appliance Qty Watts Hours/day Daily kWh Backup
Connected load0.00 kW
Peak / backup load0.00 kW
Daily energy0.00 kWh
Monthly energy0 kWh
Backup energy0.00 kWh
What Customers Need To Know

From electricity use to a complete solar picture.

The calculator is designed to answer the questions a customer normally has before requesting a quotation.

01

How much electricity do I use?

See connected load, estimated daily consumption and monthly kWh from the equipment you entered.

02

How big should my solar system be?

The calculator converts daily energy demand into a preliminary PV capacity using the selected planning factor.

03

How many panels do I need?

Panel count is estimated from your selected panel wattage and recommended solar capacity.

04

Will I need a bigger inverter?

The inverter estimate considers the calculated peak/backup load and includes an engineering margin for planning.

05

How much battery do I need?

For Hybrid or Off-Grid, backup appliances and backup hours are used to estimate nominal battery capacity.

06

What happens next?

Use the result as a starting point, then send Solaristan your bill and project details for a proper quotation.

Battery Planning

Tell us how much backup you actually want.

Battery sizing depends on which loads must continue during an outage and for how long. The calculator therefore separates backup loads from total loads.

Battery sizing is only a preliminary estimate. Actual battery capacity depends on battery chemistry, usable depth of discharge, inverter efficiency, surge requirements, backup strategy and the loads that must run simultaneously.
